Newborn Photography Session Information

• Welcome to Photography by Dominique! Congratulations, and thank you for your interest in a newborn photography session. As a newborn photographer serving the Syracuse area for nearly 15 years, you can feel confident that your baby is in caring, capable hands. These first days are fleeting, and capturing them is one of the most meaningful investments you can make. This guide will walk you through the booking process and help you know what to expect.

  When should you book your newborn photographer?

• Because I book months in advance and offer only a limited number of newborn photography sessions each month, reserving your spot early is essential. A non-refundable $100 retainer is required at the time of booking and is applied toward your session balance. Payment may be made via Venmo, PayPal, or by check or cash drop-off.

• Once your baby arrives, please include me on your list of important contacts. I ask that you reach out within 24 hours of birth to secure your session date. Newborn photography sessions are scheduled within the baby’s first 21 days of life, after you have had a few days at home to settle in. This window allows us to achieve those soft, curled, sleepy poses that make newborn photography so special.

• If you would like to include siblings or parents in the newborn photography session, we can discuss options in advance to ensure everyone is beautifully incorporated.

• I provide a thoughtfully curated collection of wraps, headbands, hats, and props for both boys and girls, selected to reflect my signature style. I am continually refreshing my inventory to keep each session feeling timeless and unique. If you have a meaningful family heirloom or special item you’d like included, I am always happy to incorporate it.

  Where does the newborn photography session take place?

• All newborn photography sessions take place in my in-home studio, designed to be warm, calm, and comfortable for both baby and parents. I do not offer in-home newborn photography sessions.

• Please review my portfolio prior to booking to ensure my newborn photography style aligns with your vision. I look forward to creating something truly beautiful for your family.

• The studio is located in the Syracuse area and serves families from Camillus, Liverpool, Baldwinsville, Manlius, Cicero, and surrounding Central New York communities looking for a newborn photographer.

• Newborn photography sessions are limited each month to ensure a calm, unhurried experience for every family. Reserving your session during pregnancy is the best way to ensure a spot on my calendar.
